Maxwell Greenberg

Stay Fraud Free - Founder

Hi, my name is Maxwell Greenberg, and I am the proud founder of Stay Fraud Free Long Island. Currently, I am an Honor Roll student at Oceanside High School in the class of 2026. Outside of school, I am a member of the town's Boy Scout troop and a Volunteer Tutor/Mentor for the Empowering Education Fund. In my free time, I enjoy eating out with friends (Mexican is always a personal favorite) or going golfing.

My experience in Oceanside thus far has taught me that change can be made at any level based on one's passion for a subject. As you can see below, Stay Fraud Free stems from a deeply personal connection I have with its cause. As someone passionate about community-centered action, I aim for Stay Fraud Free to help local seniors protect themselves from online threats.

I am excited to see the impact Stay Fraud Free has on the community!

Martin's Story

This emotional interview shares the story of Marty, Max’s grandfather, who fell victim to a heartbreaking scam that used advanced AI and deception to impersonate his granddaughter. The caller claimed she was in an accident and desperately needed financial help, leading Marty to send a large sum of money to the scammers unknowingly. The incident left his family devastated and highlights the growing threat of AI-driven fraud targeting the elderly.

Determined to prevent others from experiencing the same pain and loss, Max created Stay Fraud Free, raising awareness about scams and providing resources to protect vulnerable individuals. Marty’s story is a powerful reminder of the importance of staying vigilant and the need for education to combat these increasingly sophisticated schemes.
